    A Quick Look Back

The modern chair massage industry began in the early 1980s with David Palmer in San Francisco, California. Inspired by traditional Japanese Amma massage, Palmer developed a practical method that could be performed on a specially designed ergonomic chair while clients remained fully clothed. His innovation made massage more accessible in workplaces, trade shows, airports, and public events, creating an entirely new approach to wellness.

In 1991, David Palmer introduced his chair massage method to the United Kingdom through professional training workshops. One of the first therapists to embrace the technique was Alisdair Burcher, who recognised its potential for improving employee wellbeing in the workplace. He founded one of the UK's first companies dedicated to corporate chair massage and later established TouchPro UK, where he trained therapists and helped spread the practice across Britain and Europe.

Today, ergonomic chair massage is a widely recognised workplace wellness service, providing employees with short, effective sessions that help reduce stress, relieve muscle tension, and improve wellbeing without disrupting the working day.

    How it Works?

All we require is a quiet 2 × 2 m space, and we'll take care of everything else, from setting up our massage chair to creating a calm and relaxing experience. If space is limited, we are also happy to offer treatments comfortably at employees' desks.

Our chair massage treatments are fully clothed, convenient, and designed to relieve tension in the head, neck, shoulders, and back. Each session lasts approximately 10, 15 or 20 minutes, leaving employees feeling refreshed, re-energised, and revitalised.
